About Taxes: Things to Do After Filing Your Return
| from William Perez Even after the busy-ness of the filing deadline, there always seems to be plenty of tax work to do. A couple of clients are filing their Canadian tax returns this week, and so I decided to learn more about the Canadian tax system. Yep, they have deductions and tax credits and tax-deferred retirement savings. But what I thought was really cool, is that starting in 2009, our northern neighbors will be able to save up to $5,000 a year in tax-free savings account. And withdrawals can be made at any time and funds used for any purpose.
