Who do you back in the 2008 US presidential
election?
I'll tell you my opinion at the end of this
e-mail.
In the meantime...
I'm using this as a headline because I put up one
page on this topic a couple of moths ago, promoted
it one time, and it's getting 5,000 to 10,000+ unique
visitors a day.
Conservatively that's 150,000 visitors a month (but
it's never been that low) Projected annually, that's
1.8 million visitors a year.
No SEO, no AdWords, no feverishly constructed
affiliate sp@m campaign. Nada.
15 minutes making the page. Maybe ten minutes
writing the e-mail. One second pushing "send."
I guess that makes me a traffic genius....
Not really.
The reality is if you work at it long enough, all
kinds of wild and wonderful things happen on the
Internet...and some of the best stuff that happens
is accidental.
Also, the fact is this particular traffic is kind
of useless.
It makes money, yes, but nothing to write home
about.
(OK, you could make a house payment with it,
but it's really just a fluke that can - and will
- burn itself out when the election is over.)
Am I sending the money back to Google? (It's all
AdSense revenue.)
Of course not! And I've very glad to have it.
But I'm also not high-fiving it around the office and
strutting around like a traffic genius.
Am I going to package the secret I used to get this
zero cost, zero effort multi-thousand dollar a month
cash flow?
No...though I have shared it with a few friends.
Am I deliberately withholding this "secret?"
Yes, but not for the reason you might think.
I'm not talking about it because it would be a total,
off-the-point distraction.
Here's something that could save you thousands of
dollars and help you reach your goal of being
a successful Internet marketer much faster.
The truth is...
Traffic tricks are the easiest thing to sell in Internet
marketing.
Claim that you have a bag tricks to get free traffic
to your site and the world will beat a path to your
door.
There's just one problem with that.
Traffic by itself equals ZERO.
On the other hand...
Traffic pointing to a business that has a SYSTEM
for converting traffic to value is very meaningful
and very profitable profitable.
Yes, you can skim some dollars every now and
then from clever traffic gymnastics, but folks
who are caught up in the mania of "free traffic"
remind me of people who make money collecting and
redeeming cans on the side of the road.
I respect these people because they're working
and doing something socially useful, but they're
not building anything with their effort.
Tomorrow comes and they're back on the street
again starting from zero.
Maybe one day they'll get lucky and come across
a whole dumpster full of cans. Great, but then what?
Next day it's back to zero.
I've never been particularly excited about or inclined
to promote the stories of people who've stumbled on
short term traffic tricks or who've had spectacular
one day sales.
I'm way more interested in the person who can
tell me what they're making every month and show
me how they're growing that number by building a
real business.
This fall, I'm bringing the course that I teach on this
subject to London.
Last year, I gave it across North America
in NYC, Chicago, LA, Toronto, San Francisco, and
Vancouver.
The London training will be the only one I
offer on Internet business building all year.
I've more than doubled the tuition since last year
and after London, I will more than double it again.
Why? Because I know the extreme value of what I'm
sharing.
So, if you're in the UK or Europe, this should be a no-brainer,
but where ever you live in the world, you should seriously
consider attending.
Yes, air fares are sky high. Yes, London in the most expensive
city in the world.
The things I'll be sharing in London will make all that
seem trivial.

Best,
Ken
P.S. McCain or Obama?
I know what I'm about to say is going to p*ss almost
everyone off, but here goes.
I think they're both equally appalling, just in different
ways.
Is this really the best we can do for the President
of the United States?
All I can say is it's a good thing the US is a rich country
and it's full of hardworking, resourceful people.
Otherwise, our knuckle-headed politicians would have
bankrupted the nation a long time ago. Not that they're
not trying.
So, McCain or Obama?
I have a better idea.
How about you?
How about you as president of your life?
What would a sane president do? He or she
would create a strategic plan...marshal
resources...focus on moving the country
forward.
Rather than consume time and energy
debating the merits of Coke and Pepsi,
I recommend you focus on the executive
role you already have...the person in
charge of your life.
Invest in strengthening your mind...your
business...your family...your community...
Because in case you haven't noticed, we're on
our own out here.

P.P.S. I will reveal my goofy traffic secret
to the people who attend the London Intensive.
In makes sense to reveal it in the context
of people who are focused on business building,
not just accumulating free traffic tricks.
