Lessons from the person who has made his millions online

Hey,

Before I get to today's lesson (and it's one that you
don't want to miss, no matter what business you're in!),
I've got a few housekeeping details that I want to
share with you ...

As I was reviewing the latest going ons in the Internet
Marketing world this morning over at Mike Mograbi's
IM News Watch, I stumbled across a site that gave me
a fantastic idea!

At least 5 times a week I write to you with great
advice for building your business using the power of
the internet.

But, if the spam filters snag that email or if you
happen to be back logged and you don't get a chance to
read my message, you miss the great strategies that
can make all the difference in whether your business
has a 4 figure year or a 6 figure year.

So I've decided that starting with this message, I'm
taking all of the great lessons and putting them online
as well!

That way if you ever need them, you'll be able to find
them easily!

Now on to today's lesson ...




After last night's call on Info Products, I got several
emails asking me WHY so many marketers put so much
emphasis on info products.

Each one of these messages asked me if there was some
other way to be equally profitable in your business.

The answer is a resounding YES !

In fact, one of my mentors and good friends is probably
one of the most profitable marketers around.  His
business has absolutely NOTHING at all to do with info
products!

In fact, he's working on his very first information
product right now and he's been in this business for
YEARS!

Let me share with you one little secret ...

People will pay over and over again for anything that
will save them time or m'oney.

If you can show someone a way to shave an hour off of
a mundane task, he'll buy it every time (provided it's
not going to cost him more than what he would make in
an hour of his time).

If you can show someone how to save $500 on a $1,000
purchase, he'll buy it every time (provided it's not
going to cost more than the $500 he'll save).

At the same time, if you can provide someone with a
tool that will save either time or m'oney, he'll buy
that as well.

But not many of us are engineers or inventors or
programmers who have the knowledge and skill to come
up with new tools.

For those of us who are not able to invent new tools,
though, this doesn't mean that we are destined to be
poor.

What it does mean is that we must find something else
to sell.  What we have at our disposal is our
KNOWLEDGE !

Yep, that's right ... you can literally sell your brain!

There are 3 ways to do that.  You can sell your
knowledge through either:

a)  An Information Product (an ebook, audio, or video),
or

b)  A Coaching or Mentoring Program, or

c)  A seminar or workshop

No matter which of these methods you select, you want
to focus on selling the SOLUTION that will save your
prospect either time or m'oney.

Ideally, if you can select either option b or c, then
you can create multiple products at the same time.
You do this by recording your coaching or seminar and
creating an information product.  This then saves YOU
time and m'oney!

Information Products are hot online because saavy
marketers know this secret and they USE it over and
over again!

But, if you look at any one of the info product guys
out there, I'll guarantee you that he is not making
his REAL m'oney from the info product.

Where the REAL m'oney is made is from the coaching or
mentoring or from a high ticket seminar or workshop.

In other words, on the front end what you see may be
an information product.  That product serves as a lead
generator for the marketer.

The leads then get to know and like the marketer through
the information product.  If the info is good and it
works, the lead wants to buy an even bigger share of the
marketer's brain.

At that point, the marketer needs only to put into
place a system that gives the lead an opportunity to
go to the next level and take part in the coaching or
the seminar.

Ordinarily, if the marketer has done a good job in the
info product, the lead will buy at just about any cost.

The key here is to really create a GREAT info product.
One of the easiest ways of doing that is by recording
your coaching.

Now, don't get scared when I start talking about
becoming a coach.  It isn't as big of a deal as you
would think!

Let me share one more secret with you ...

ANYONE can become a coach.

Yep, I really mean ANYONE!

If you have any knowledge that will save someone either
time or m'oney, you can use that knowledge to teach
others what you know!

You'd be amazed at the little things that people want to
be taught!

For example, some of my students actually asked me to
teach them how to use search engines more efficiently.

Are you someone who can find a needle on a haystack using
Google?  Great!  You can sell that knowledge just like I
did!

Or maybe you're in the personal development field and
for you visualization comes easily.

I've had my students ask me to teach them how to both
do visualization and how to use it.  Perhaps you can
sell that knowledge just like I did!

What else do you have any type of specialized knowlege
about that might save someone either time or m'oney?

Perhaps you are good at coaching little league.  Maybe
you could teach others how to do that job better so
that they can spend more time with their kids.

Perhaps you happen to be great at your job as an
Administrative Assistant.  Maybe you could teach others
how to do that job better or more productively.

My point is this ...

There are undoubtedly TONS of things that you have a
TON of knowledge about.  You can SELL that knowledge!

And here's the best part about selling that as a
coaching program ... it will give you a PRODUCT to
sell as well !

But, you'll want to use that info product as a lead
generator for your coaching.  This is how you set up a
true "profit funnel".

Think about it this way ...

Many coaching programs sell for over thousands of
dollars.  Just look at Dan Kennedy who regularly sells
his $25,000 and $100,000 coaching programs!

In other words, lead with your $7 to $27 ebook and use
that product to sell your services as a coach and bring
in $2,000 to $5,000 per sale!

Now that's quite a boost in income over selling an info
product alone, right?

Ask yourself this question right now:

"What special knowledge do you have that can save
people either time or m'oney?"

How much would that be worth to someone?

Ca-CHING!

But, do you want to know what I like even more than the
m'oney that I make from being a coach?

I like having my students available to work for me in
my business!

Yep, that's another little side benefit of being a
coach.

It's a proven fact that it's easier to learn something
by doing it rather than by hearing it.  So in having
your students work in your business, you're actually
doing THEM a favor ...

One that they'll gladly pay you for!

Now, I'll bet you're sitting there asking yourself one
big question at this point, right?  And I'll bet that
question is ...
