| from William Perez If you haven't filed a tax return for 2004, the IRS may have a refund waiting for you. People have 3 years to claim a refund, otherwise that refund money disappears into the government coffers. This three year period also applies to amendment returns. So if you made a mistake on your '04 return, you should file an amendment to claim an additional refund.
