Investors who expected the bailout bill passed last week to pull the market out of its funk were surprised and disappointed. However, there is much wrong with the economy that the bailout will not fix - rapidly rising unemployment, for one. The bailout bill was not the light at the end of the tunnel, but without it, pork and all, it is hard to imagine how bad the market might be right now.
