Some signs that the credit market is defrosting pushed markets up Monday. If the trend continues, it will help restore some confidence to the markets. However, this is not a "one and done" problem. The economy still faces significant challenges and there is little chance we will return to business as usual anytime soon. But remember the market is about the future. It will lead the economy out of a recession and be a good sign that the economy is returning to its former health.
