Indicator Settings Are Not Important Every time a trader mentions a trading system, the first question that is asked is what the indicator settings are. Typical questions include what input data the moving averages are based upon (e.g. average price, closing price, etc.), what length the stochastics are using (i.e. how many bars), or any number of similar questions. These questions are asked because most traders believe that the indicator settings are necessary for trading the system correctly, however, they are actually one of the least important pieces of information ... find out what is important | | Bollinger Bands Bollinger bands are a technical analysis indicator that was developed by John Bollinger in the 1980s. Bollinger bands create a standard deviation channel around a moving average of recent prices. Bollinger Bands are displayed as a single moving average line, with two evenly spaced standard deviation lines (one on each side of the moving average line)... find out more about bollinger bands | Economic Calendar With Volatility This week's economic calendar includes several news releases from all three regions (the US, Europe, and Asia). The US has most of the high volatility news releases, while Europe only has three high volatility new releases, and Asia only has four high volatility news releases.
