Although the U.S. seems to be avoiding a recession so far, Canada is not so lucky. Statistics released last week showed a decline in real GDP for the first quarter of 2008. If Canada sees a decline in the 2nd quarter, they will officially have a recession.

Is Studying From Old Economics Exams a Form of Cheating?
In response to Advice for Ph.D. students, reader "Al" writes: "Get the old exams! Study from the old exams." As an undergraduate, I have been told thats a form of cheating. Is it not at the graduate level? I have never heard anyone say that is a form of cheating, at any level. Has anyone else ever heard this? Please join in the discussion.
