Globalization - like or not, it's here and it's not going away. That may seem obvious, but how politicians approach the subject should be instructive in the upcoming elections. Most companies "get it," but we can't be certain about our political leaders. Any political effort to turn back the clock, is doomed. Protectionists worry about U.S. Jobs going to cheap labor countries. What they should be worried about is how are we going to train and retrain Americans to compete in a global economy.
