	from Jeremy Vohwinkle Last week, it was announced that a criminal ring of individuals from a number of countries hacked into the computer systems of nine major retailers and were able to steal over 40 million credit and debit card numbers. This information was then sold and then used to steal money from innocent people. This serves as a reminder that it is important to be diligent in protecting your personal and financial information. Even with proper identity theft preventative measures, things like this can happen that are virtually out of our control. Even so, you can minimize the chances of this happening by safeguarding and monitoring your information.
