The group is widely expected to reduce rates to an unprecedented 0.50 percent and some are betting rates could go as low as 0.25 percent. The real meat of the announcement will come in the accompanying statement. Market watchers will dissect every sentence for clues to future actions. Although not directly tied to the Fed rates, look for home mortgage rates to fall. Unfortunately, credit card rates will not likely follow, but remain high and may move higher still.
